eTrees of Southern Africa covers over 800 of the more common and accessible trees
found in the region
The electronic field guide has been designed for the non-specialist and features
an intuitive smart search for easily identifying trees based on your location and/or leaf shape
It features over 1700 full colour photographs, so that each tree has at least 1 picture, distribution map and text.
As with most of our other field guides eTrees features a log to record sightings of trees.

Search by Common Name or Scientific Name
The 1st step of the Smart Search allows you to only view trees within a selected 1 square degree area
The 2nd step asks the user a series of questions to do with leaf/stem characteristics and narrows down the groups
Log tree sightings with the electronic log which can be sorted by Common Name, Scientific Name, Location and Date
Receive program updates free of charge (when available)
Installation:
Insert the card and eTrees will auto-install
The entire collection of data, pictures and text is stored on a 128Mb Memory Card
No computer is necessary
None of the PDA's internal memory is used for data storage
